Department, 1973-1978 Special Recognition One of my black and white photographs was included in Ansel Adams’ book, Polaroid Land Photography Manual published by New York Graphic Society, 1978, as a result of several years professional association with Ansel Adams. Other of my photographs from Ansel Adams personal collection are housed in the Ansel Adams Archives, The Center for Creative Photography, Tucson, Arizona. One color photograph is in the Permanent Collection of Eastman Kodak Company. 2002 recipient of a Durfee Foundation Grant—“Artists’ Resource for Completion” in photography to print and mat new work for solo exhibition at the University of La Verne. My color photographs have been accepted for exhibition in the Art Rental and Sales Gallery at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, 2003. Selected as a new member of the Pasadena Society of Artists, November 9, 2003. My photographs were an advertised part of their event celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Route 66, taking place on September 8 and 9. the 75th anniversary of Route 66, The Open Road,
showed two of 2001 Rock Rose Art Gallery, Highland Park, California, Mother Earth/Tierra Madre de la Naturaleza exhibit, May 12 to June 15. 2000 Rock Rose Art Gallery, Highland Park, California displayed my photographs in conjunction with the Arroyo Arts Collective 8th Annual Discovery Tour, November 11 to December 4. 2000 The River Visions exhibit of my photographs of the artists’ installations was held at the Los Angeles River and Garden Center from June 9 to July 26. 2000 The Arroyo Arts Collective
presented River Visions, an event at the Los Angeles River. 1999 From November 1 to November 30, the Pasadena group of the Sierra Club held a photography exhibition in the main hall of the Pasadena Public Library. My entry was a first place winner. 1999 Five of my 16 x 20 Ilfochrome photographs, self-printed, were on display at the Millard Sheets Gallery, Los Angeles County Fair, from September 9 to 26. 1999 My work was exhibited in conjunction with the Arroyo Arts Collective 10th Anniversary Members Exhibitions. The gallery site was Arts, Inc. in downtown Los Angeles. The show dates were August 19 to October 15. 1998 Mirar LA to Look at LA, El Pueblo Gallery on Olvera Street, Los Angeles, CA, July 25 through August 28. Exhibition of one image in a juried show. 1998 Exhibitor at Arroyo Arts Collective Text and Image and Members’ Showcase at the Arroyo Seco Regional Branch Library, Los Angeles, CA, April 18 to June 30. 1997 Two photographs exhibited by the Sierra Club Angeles Chapter Camera Committee at the First Professional Photo Center in Santa Monica, CA, Nov. 1 to 15. 1984 Approximate date of inclusion of 7 of my images from Ansel Adams’ personal collection in the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, Arizona. 1979 American Vision, a nationwide photographic competition held at all six 80 Washington Square East Galleries, New York University, New York City, October 9 to November 2. Three of my photographs were exhibited, including one second place award and one honorable mention. 1978 I consider the first important use of one of my images to be in a book published by Ansel Adams and New York Graphic Society, Boston. This was in the Ansel Adams Polaroid Land Photography Manual. I was given name credit under my black and white photograph, as well as in the index. 1970 Two of my photographic collages were shown at Santa Barbara City College in their Environmental Photo Contest Winners’ Exhibition. |
