The 9th Annual Discovery Tour was presented November 19, 2001.

The Arroyo Arts Collective’s 9th Annual Discovery Tour will highlight artists homes and studios as well as colorful new and long-standing eateries and coffeehouses in Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Mount Washington and environs. “Tourists” can get to know local artists and view their work in the highly individual studios typical of the neighborhood including Craftsman homes, garages and commercial spaces. Work on display by over 40 participating artists will represent creative styles ranging from traditional plein air painting to cutting edge computer art.

As a special feature of this year’s Tour, Palette to Palate, a special edition of recipe cards featuring both recipes and images designed by local artists will be available for purchase.

Maps to the studio, eatery and coffehouse locations will be available on Sunday, November 18 at the historic Lummis Home, 200 E. Avenue 43 (at the Pasadena Freeway). Artists’ homes and studios will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a courtyard reception for artists and Tourists at the Lummis Home.
